About
Chamonix
The nearest ski area to the chalet is La Flegere, a five minute walk away, which links into Le Brevent slopes, high above Chamonix, offering numerous pistes for all abilities, and unlimited off-piste skiing. La Flegere has two very good green runs for beginners, served by chair-lifts to give unaccustomed muscles some much-needed respite. Equipment hire is available in Les Praz village, near the lifts. Here you will also find lively apres-ski on your way home from the slopes, as well as bars and restaurants nearby.

The free ski bus, and train, leave a 2 minute walk away, giving guests easy access to the other ski areas within a 10 km radius, including the Grands Montets, and the world-famous Vallee Blanche descent.

The Grands Montets, reached by cable car from the village of Argentiere, is a mecca for expert skiers. But Argentiere also has good valley level beginners slopes, and a range from 1200 meters to 3300 meters. Argentiere is a 10-minute bus ride, or 10-minute train ride, from the chalet.

Le Tour ski area is at the sunniest, and snowiest, end of the valley. Its wide-open, motorway pistes are ideal for beginners and intermediates alike, or just for finding your skiing legs on the first day. As well as the popular blues and reds up the hill there is a wide beginners area at the base of the slopes with three draglifts, and a hair-raising sledging area!
